Description
The organic dandelion honey from Apicoltura Avìe by Simone Coppola is the first spring honey and is produced in the Langhe during the flowering of the flower, known as "dandelion". Given the precocity of the blooms, the bee colonies are not always strong enough to produce a consistent harvest of honey. Production takes place in a completely natural and organic way. Our bees are raised in an environment free of pesticides and other harmful chemicals, while the dandelion and cherry blossoms are grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers. Bees collect nectar from dandelion flowers and turn it into honey inside the hive. The honey is then extracted and packaged for sale in our laboratory in La Morra, in the Langhe area.
Characteristics
Organic Dandelion honey has a strong yellow color and a delicate flavour, with floral notes and a slightly bitter aftertaste, reminiscent of chamomile infusion, a soft consistency due to fast and creamy crystallisation and a very intense aroma.
